
Wanjiru Kanuri emerged as the overall winner of the second leg of the Britam Golf Circuit, played at Nyahururu Country Club on Saturday.
Playing off handicap 36, Kanuri carded an impressive 43 points to claim victory in the highly competitive tournament, which attracted 160 golfers.
The men’s category witnessed a stellar performance from Samson Macharia (HC 18), who clinched the top spot with 42 points.
He was closely followed by Kieru Wambui (HC 11) with 40 points as the first runner-up, while Samuel Gitau (HC 15) secured third place with 39 points.
In the ladies’ division, Rosemary Muigwa (HC 36) demonstrated remarkable skill to claim the top prize with 39 points.
Virginia Njenga (HC 32) followed as the first runner-up with 35 points, while Evelyn Waweru (HC 36) settled for third place with 35 points.
The guest category saw Davidson Githinji (HC 28) dominate with 42 points, while Regina Mumero emerged as the staff winner.

Among the senior golfers, Gabriel Wanguhu (HC 18) took top honors with 29 points, and in the junior category, Jobsam Njoroge (HC 25) impressed with 35 points.
Notably, Denis Kigundu and Caroline Muthee showcased their power off the tee, claiming the longest drive honors in the men’s and ladies’ categories, respectively.
Edward Kuria displayed precision to win the nearest-to-pin award for men, while Susan Hiuko took the accolade in the ladies’ division.
The first leg of the Britam Golf Circuit was played at Nyali Golf and Country Club on February 8.
With the success of the second leg at Nyahururu, anticipation now builds for the next round of the series at Sigona Golf Club on April 5.
