Provia Odhiambo Shines at KenGen Tournament at Mombasa Golf Club

Lady golfer Provia Odhiambo on Saturday showcased stellar performance to be declared winner of the KenGen Golf Tournament played at the Mombasa Golf Club.

The tournament had attracted 121 entries.

Playing off a handicap of 22, Odhiambo managed to clinch the overall winner title with an impressive 40 points.

Charles Rob emerged as the Gross Winner, finishing with a remarkable 73 gross.

Major Joel Mochanga showcased exceptional skill, winning the men’s category with a handicap of 10 and a score of 40 points.

The runner-up position was secured by Major Epapra Lagat, who played off a handicap of 15 and scored 38 points, followed by George Nesbitt, whose 37 points earned him the third spot.

The women’s category was equally competitive.

Winfred Ndunge, playing off a handicap of 30, emerged as the top lady golfer with 32 points, winning on countback against handicap 20 Faith Muteti.

“The Saturday’s KenGen Tournament was one of my best this year. Looking forward to more victories!” said Ndunge.

Victor Atwa was recognized as the Best Staff player, scoring 28 points with a handicap of 22, while Daniel Tanui, playing off a handicap of 6, was the runner-up among the staff with 27 points.

The Best Guest title went to Peter Warari, who scored 33 points with a handicap of 13.
