Over 243 Golfers to Compete in Nyali Leg of NCBA Golf Series

Over 243 golfers will this weekend compete in the NCBA Golf Series at Nyali Golf and Country Club.

Over 243 golfers have registered for the coastal edition of the NCBA Golf Series, set to take place at the prestigious Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa.

Six participants from the Nyali leg will be aiming to secure their spots in the 2024 NCBA Grand Finale, scheduled for November 29 at Muthaiga Golf Club.

The 2024 NCBA Series, which launched at Royal Nairobi Golf Club in February, has expanded beyond Kenya, featuring tournaments in Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

This regional reach underscores NCBA’s commitment to promoting golf across East Africa.

To date, the series has been played at 15 golf clubs in Kenya and about nine in Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda, with over 120 golfers having already qualified for next month’s finale.

NCBA Group Managing Director, John Gachora, expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Nyali Golf and Country Club for another year of the series.

“We are thrilled to be back at Nyali, offering golfers in the region a chance to compete in the series. It’s also a great opportunity for us at NCBA to engage with our customers in the coastal region,” he said.

“We look forward to witnessing some exciting golf and hope that the players will enjoy the tournament as they vie for a place in the final showdown at Muthaiga.”

The Nyali event follows the recent qualifying leg at Royal Nairobi Golf Club, which saw a turnout of 255 golfers.

Last weekend, Ugandan golfers Anselm OIweny and Berna Musanabera triumphed at the NCBA Golf Tournament held at Entebbe Golf Club.

They joined fellow Ugandan qualifiers Brian Omeda and Lillian Koowe from the Jinja Golf Club leg in August, as well as Emmanuel Wamala and Eva Lwanga, who qualified during the Uganda Golf Club event in June.
