The second edition of the 2024 NCBA Golf Series will be played at the 100-year-old Nakuru Golf Club this Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Over 100 amateur golfers from around the Rift Valley region are expected to compete at the scenic yet challenging par-73 golf course.

The 18-hole Nakuru Golf Club is perched on the slopes of the majestic Menengai crater.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s event, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora expressed excitement about returning to Nakuru Golf Club for the second leg of the series.

He emphasized the Club’s reputation for providing one of the most challenging, yet rewarding golfing experiences in the country:

“We are delighted to return to the amazing Nakuru Golf Club for the second event in the series. Despite its reputation as one of the most challenging golf courses in the country, it offers one of the best experiences for golfers,” he said.

Gachora said they anticipate exceptional golfing and fierce competition from golfers in this region.

“This event also provides an excellent opportunity for NCBA to engage with our customers and better understand how we can support their financial needs, and we therefore look forward to the event,” said Gachora.

Six of the top golfers from the Nakuru event will secure their slots to play at the Series 2024 Grand Finale in November in Muthaiga.

They include the Division 1 Male and Lady Winners, Division 2 Male and Lady Winners, Division 3 Overall Winner, and the Overall Junior Winner.

The upcoming event follows the successful inaugural leg held earlier this month at the Kenya Railways Club, Nairobi, which attracted 145 golfers.

Notably, during the inaugural tournament at Kenya Railways, Kenneth Mburu emerged victorious in the Division One category after carding an impressive 38 Stableford points.

Ronald Wekesa clinched the Division Two title with a remarkable 43 points, while Kimaita Magiri secured the top spot in Division Three with a score of 42 Stableford points.
