NCBA Golf Series Heads to Kenya Railways Golf Club for Fifth Leg

Kenya Railways Golf Club will host the fifth leg of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series this Saturday.

Over 200 golfers are expected to compete at the 104-year-old, nine-hole par-72 course within the Nairobi’s central business district.

The tournament will be played in a Stableford format, with participants vying for coveted slots in the Grand Finale set for November.

Qualifiers will include the Men’s and Women’s winners in Division One and Two, the overall Division Three winner, and the top junior golfer.

NCBA Managing Director John Gachora expressed enthusiasm about the tournament, noting the strong competition witnessed so far.

“We are delighted to return to Kenya Railways Golf Club, where we launched this year’s NCBA Golf Series in January. The level of competition after just four legs has been remarkable, and we look forward to another fantastic tournament this weekend,” said Gachora.

He reaffirmed NCBA’s commitment to supporting golf across the region.

“We remain dedicated to growing the sport and engaging with our customers and the wider community,” he added.

The 2025 NCBA Golf Series teed off at VetLab Sports Club in January and has since made stops at Nandi Bears Club, Malindi Golf Club, and Kiambu Golf Club.

This year’s series features 41 qualifier events, providing amateur golfers with a competitive platform while fostering community engagement and business networking.

Junior Golf Action at Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club

Meanwhile, two junior golf events are set for this weekend at Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club.

The NCBA Interschool Golf Tournament 1 will take place on Friday, March 21, while the NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Spring Local Tour continues on Sunday.

Over 200 junior golfers will compete in the Interschool Tournament, which is open to players aged 5-18 and will be played in a stroke play format.

Players aged 10 and under will compete over nine holes, while those in the 11-14 and 15-18 age groups will play 18 holes.

On Sunday, the fourth leg of the NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Spring Local Tour will take center stage at Windsor.

The series began at VetLab Sports Club in February, followed by events at Limuru Country Club and Karen Country Club.

Organized by the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) and supported by NCBA, the tournaments aim to nurture young talent.

JGF Chairman Vincent Mukiri emphasized the importance of such events in developing junior golfers.

“They provide young players with a platform to showcase their skills and compete against their peers, which is crucial in their growth as golfers. We look forward to some exciting performances this weekend,” said Mukiri.
