Muthaiga Golf Club is set to host the Post-Connected Africa Summit 2024 Golf Tournament this Saturday.
Over 300 golfers expected to participate.
The event follows the recently concluded Connected Africa Summit 2024, Africa’s premier ICT gathering, held at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi, from April 21 to 24.
The tournament will bring together participants from the private sector, business leaders, and government representatives.
Among the key figures expected to attend are the newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy, Dr. Margaret Nyambura, and ICT and Digital Economy Principal Secretary, Eng. John Tanui, alongside other top leaders.
The event will feature notable partners, including Telkom, Danco/Pavicon Group, Safaricom, and NCBA Bank, who will also take part in the tournament.
ICT Authority CEO Stanley Kamanguya highlighted that the tournament offers a unique opportunity for networking among ICT professionals and policymakers from across Africa.
“This event provides an additional platform to continue the discussions initiated at the Connected Africa Summit 2024,” he said.
The goal is to foster meaningful interactions in a relaxed environment after the Summit, while also officially kicking off the planning for the Connected Africa Summit 2025, which was launched last Friday.
“Moreover, we aim to showcase Kenya’s exceptional golfing experience, and we warmly welcome all our guests,” he said.
Reflecting on the success of the 2024 summit, Kamanguya expressed optimism for the 2025 edition.
“The 2025 Summit will focus on accelerating ICT conversations across Africa, and we anticipate even greater impact as we highlight the unique contributions of each country,” he said.
The tournament presents a chance for key stakeholders to network, relax, and strengthen relationships beyond the summit, while exploring new opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital landscape, all through the sport of golf.
