Kiambu Golf Club will host the fourth qualifier of the ongoing 2025 NCBA Golf Series this Saturday.

Over 200 golfers are expected to compete in the tournament, where top performers will earn slots in the series’ Grand Finale set for November.

For the first time in the history of the NCBA Golf Series, golfers will also compete for a brand-new JCB Backhoe Loader, Model 3DX, as a hole-in-one prize.

The machine will be awarded to any player who achieves a hole-in-one at the designated par-3 eighth hole during the tournament.

This new incentive is made possible through a partnership between NCBA and JCB Ganatra Plant and Equipment Ltd, a leading dealer in construction and agricultural equipment.

JCB Ganatra will offer the high-performance machines as hole-in-one prizes at select tournaments on the 2025 NCBA Golf Series calendar.

Speaking ahead of the Kiambu tournament, Lennox Mugambi, NCBA’s Group Director for Asset Finance and Business Solutions, expressed excitement about the upcoming event.

“The chance to win a state-of-the-art machine by hitting a hole-in-one brings an added level of excitement to the series, and we’re confident it will elevate the experience for both seasoned golfers and newcomers,” said Mugambi.

He reiterated NCBA’s commitment to enriching customers’ lives through sports, business, and lifestyle.

“By offering something as impactful as a JCB Backhoe Loader to any golfer lucky and skilled enough to hit that perfect shot, we’re showing just how far we’re willing to go to make this series truly unforgettable,” he added.

Altaf Ganatra, Managing Director at JCB Ganatra Plant and Equipment Ltd, said the collaboration aligns with the shared values of both institutions.

“We’re proud to be part of the NCBA Golf Series and even prouder to kick things off with the hole-in-one prize at the Kiambu leg. This machine symbolizes strength, reliability, and progress—values reflected not just in NCBA but also in the spirit of golf itself. These machines are designed to get the job done, no matter the terrain—just like a great golfer rises to every challenge on the course,” he said.

He further noted that JCB Ganatra’s partnership with NCBA spans several years and continues to evolve.

“We’re excited to see this partnership connect with people in new, exciting ways. We look forward to celebrating the skill and ambition of golfers across the region, and who knows—maybe we’ll see a few aces this year,” he added.

The 2025 NCBA Golf Series, which teed off in January, features 41 qualifier events across golf courses in Kenya and the East African region.

The introduction of the hole-in-one prize adds an extra layer of thrill to what is already one of the region’s most dynamic amateur golf circuits.
