Muthaiga’s professional golfer Greg Snow was on Wednesday crowned winner of the third leg of the Safari Tour Season Three Championship at Sigona Golf Club.
He secured a total of 11 under par 277 gross for the four-day event, which drew over 69 players.
The Muthaiga professional golfer celebrated his first Safari victory of the season by defeating his teammate, Njoroge Kibugu, by a single shot.
Taking charge of the Sigona tussle halfway through Tuesday, Snow maintained his lead despite dropping four shots, finishing with five birdies on holes 2, 4, 6, 9, and 15.
Njoroge Kibugu secured second place with a five-under 67 in the closing round, totalling 10 under par 278 gross.
Mohit Mediratta, the day two leader, settled for third place with a gross total of seven-under-par 281, after firing a one-under-par 71.
Thika Sports Club pro Simon Ngige and Mumias long-hitter Dismas Indiza tied for fourth with a gross total of six-under-par 282.
Dismas Indiza maintained his lead in the 2023/24 Safari Tour log after three events, followed by Samuel Njoroge, Daniel Nduva, and leg two Vet Lab winner Mike Kisia.
The fourth leg of the Safari Tour is set to take place at Limuru Country Club (January 13-17), and the fifth leg will be at Muthaiga Golf Club (January 27- 31) before winding up the sixth leg at Karen Country Club (February 3-7).
The Safari Tour, now in its sixth season, serves as a qualifier for the Magical Kenya Open Championship, determining regional qualifiers.
The top eight players of the Safari Tour series will earn the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Magical Kenya Open, scheduled to take place from February 22- 25.
