ICPAK national chairperson Philip Kakai said the charity golfing event, which was previously held once a year, will now be held twice every year.
“The most important thing is that we use these funds to support our students, especially those pursuing accounting and finance at university,” said Kakai.
Beyond the scores and victories, the true triumph of the day was the collective effort to contribute to charity, turning a day on the golf course into a meaningful endeavour for the betterment of others.
He said since the inception of the scholarship programme in 2016, they have so far sponsored three students throughout the university education.
Located in the leafy Nyali suburb of Mombasa, Nyali Golf and Country Club was designed by Monty Lowry on a 160-acre parcel of land in 1956.
The 67-year-old championship golf course is a traditional coastal course, lined with flowering trees and features impeccably maintained fairways, and perfectly formed greens.
The closely mown, well-watered fairways are comprised of a mixture of Mozambique Polana and Pemba grasses, while the lush, finely contoured greens are laid with Polana.
Its fairways are always alive with troops of velvet monkeys
