Daniel Salaton emerged as the overall individual winner of the 17th leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour, held at the nine-hole Machakos Golf Club on Saturday.
Playing off a handicap of 25, Salaton carded an impressive 41 Stableford points to clinch the victory, outplaying over 131 golfers.
SK Theuri, with a handicap of 17, was named the Men’s Winner, scoring 39 Stableford points.
In the women’s category, Felistus Mativo, playing off handicap 34, posted 36 points to secure the Lady Winner award, beating Mercy Nderitu on countback.
Liz Wanjiru, playing off handicap 33, took home the Guest Winner title after an outstanding performance, finishing with 40 Stableford points.
Salaton’s four-ball team also triumphed, returning a combined score of 111 points to claim the overall team win of the 17th leg of the tour.
The winning four-ball team comprised Philip Kibet, Fostine Maithya, Mercy Nderitu, and Salaton.
They narrowly beat the team of Cornelius Ndumai, Crispus Katiku, and Samson Matilu, who scored 110 points to finish as the second-best team.
