
Alessio Bozzolasco emerged as the Overall Winner of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series at Malindi Golf and Country Club, delivering an impressive performance on the scenic nine-hole course.
Playing off a handicap of 10, Bozzolasco posted a stellar nett score of 66, outplaying a strong field of golfers from Malindi and the wider coastal region.
In the Men’s Category, Tukero Ole Kina (handicap 14) secured victory with a nett score of 67, edging out Philip Matei (handicap 23) on countback after both players posted identical scores.
The Ladies’ Category saw Silvana Franciolli (handicap 21) claim top honors with a nett score of 71, followed closely by Auma Obama (handicap 30), who finished runner-up with 72.
Among the junior golfers, Emmanuel John (handicap 33) delivered an exceptional performance, winning the Junior Winner title with a superb nett score of 65.

The Nearest to the Pin challenge saw Ali Abdallah emerge as the best among men, landing his shot 8.45 meters from the pin, while Susan Waithaka topped the ladies’ category with a distance of 10.10 meters.
Speaking at the tournament, NCBA Bank Malindi Branch Manager Fahima Abdisheikh applauded the golfers’ outstanding performances and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to growing the sport.

Malindi Golf and Country Club Chairman Benjamin Wasige expressed gratitude for hosting the prestigious event.
“The course was in excellent condition, and we witnessed fantastic play from all participants. The passion displayed today reaffirms the significance of this tournament, and we truly appreciate NCBA for making it possible.”
Lady Captain Hamida Chidagaya echoed similar sentiments, noting the impressive golfer turnout.

The Malindi leg marked the third event of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series, following successful tournaments at VetLab Sports Club and Nandi Bears Golf Club.
Winners from this event secured their spots in the Grand Finale later this year, where they will compete for the ultimate title.
Attention now shifts to Kiambu Golf Club, which is set to host the fourth leg of the series on March 15.
