Kenya’s professional golfer Njoroge Kibugu has made the cut to play in the final round of the Sunshine Tour Qualifying School Final Stage at the par-71 Heron Banks Golf and River Resort in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Representing Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club, Njoroge carded rounds of 3-under-par 68, 2-over-par 73, and 1-over-par 72.
His 54-hole total of even-par 213 placed him tied for 40th—safely within the cut line, which was set at 1-over-par.
He now joins the top 50 players who will contest the final round, vying for a share of the R100,000 prize fund and a coveted Sunshine Tour card for the 2025/26 season, awarded to the top 20 finishers.

Meanwhile, Kakamega Golf Club’s Dismas Indiza was in position to make the cut through 14 holes of his third round, but late bogeys at the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th saw him finish with a 3-over-par 74.
His total score of 3-over-par 216 placed him tied for 64th, just outside the cut.
The final stage of Q-School has been affected by weather delays, with heavy rains forcing several of the 129 golfers to complete their rounds over two days.
As a result, the tournament has extended into Saturday for the concluding round.
Kenya Railway Golf Club’s Mike Kisia was the next best-placed Kenyan, finishing tied for 88th on 7-over-par 220.
Rwanda’s Celestin Nsanzuwera, the winner of the East Africa Swing Q-School, finished tied for 84th with rounds of 75, 70, and 74 for a 6-over-par total of 219.
Other East Africa Swing qualifiers posted the following finishes: Jastas Madoya and Greg Snow (T95), John Lejirma (T106), Samuel Njoroge (T109), and Edwin Mudanyi (T116).
Round four tees off Friday afternoon and will continue into tomorrow morning.
Attention will then turn to the upcoming East Africa Swing Tour events, with the official calendar to be announced soon.
