The Nakuru Golf Club will come alive this Saturday as it hosts the sixth leg of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series—a highly anticipated stop in the prestigious nationwide circuit.
With 180 amateur golfers from across the Rift Valley region set to battle it out, the stakes are high with six coveted spots up for grabs at the series’ Grand Finale later this year.
Golfers will battle it out for top honours across multiple categories, including Men’s and Ladies’ Gross Winners, Division II and III champions, and an emerging Junior talent.
Adding an extra spark of excitement is a jaw-dropping hole-in-one prize: a brand-new JCB 3DX Backhoe Loader, courtesy of NCBA’s partnership with construction and agri-equipment giant, Ganatra Plant and Equipment.
The Nakuru leg follows thrilling stops at VetLab Sports Club, Nandi Bears Club, Malindi Golf Club, and Kenya Railway Golf Club.
NCBA Group Managing Director, John Gachora, expressed his excitement about returning to Nakuru.
“We are truly excited to be back in Nakuru for what promises to be another fantastic leg of the NCBA Golf Series. Nakuru Golf Club holds a special place in our journey, not only because of its rich history and breathtaking scenery but also because of the warm reception we’ve always received from the local golfing community,” said Gachora.
He said par -73 Nakuru golf course is known to challenge even the most seasoned golfers.
“That is that’s exactly what makes it such a thrilling venue. We’re expecting a great display of talent, passion, and sportsmanship. Beyond the competition, this event is also about strengthening the relationships we’ve built with our customers and partners across the Rift Valley region,” he said.

On his part, Nakuru Golf Club Captain Eng. Michael Mululu affirmed the club’s readiness to host the tournament, noting the significance of such events in developing local golfing talent:
“We are honoured to host this leg of the NCBA Golf Series, and I can confidently say we are fully prepared to welcome the players and guests. Our course is in great condition, and we’ve worked hard to ensure the entire experience enjoyable for all,” he said.
Mululu added that the NCBA golf series is important in nurturing the sport, especially for our junior and amateur golfers who get a rare opportunity to compete at a high level.
“We truly appreciate NCBA’s commitment to growing the game across the country, and we’re proud to be part of this journey,” he said.
Now in its fifth year, the NCBA Golf Series continues to grow in stature and impact, providing a platform that not only celebrates the sport but also connects people, communities, and business through a shared love of golf.
