The Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort is set to host the final qualifier of the 2024 NCBA Golf Series in Kenya this Saturday.

Spanning 10 months and over 23 clubs across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, the series will conclude with a grand finale at Muthaiga Golf Club on November 29.

Launched in February at Royal Nairobi Golf Club, this year’s NCBA Golf Series has showcased exceptional talent and spirit.

As the series nears its end, anticipation is high for the region’s best golfers to compete for the 2024 title on one of Kenya’s premier courses.

“We’re thrilled to wrap up the qualifiers at the Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha,” said NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora.

“This journey has taken us across the region, allowing us to connect with stakeholders throughout the golfing community, and we look forward to doing the same here in Naivasha.”

With over 150 golfers registered for the Naivasha qualifier, the competition is expected to be thrilling close to the qualifying rounds.

Last year, Sarat Singh emerged victorious among 165 participants, claiming the overall title at Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort.

So far, more than 100 golfers from Kenya and nine from Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda have secured their places in the grand finale, according to NCBA.

Six additional players will clinch their spots this weekend on the par-71, 18-hole course at Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort.

The Naivasha event follows October’s tournament at Nyali Golf and Country Club, where Emmanuel Lumatete took the overall win and Mary Kandu defended her title in the Women’s Division One.

Among the confirmed finalists from East Africa are Uganda’s Anselm Olweny, Brian Omeda, and Emmanuel Wamala, along with Berna Musanabera, Lillian Koowe, and Eva Lwanga representing the ladies.

Rwandan qualifiers include Paul Ntaganda, Murekatete Alphonsine, and Bethlehem Umuzabibu, who qualified based on top scores from two national events.

A final qualifier in Tanzania remains before the grand finale, where the last players will secure their spots in this season’s culminating event.
