The three-day event will feature 54 holes of stroke play, attracting top amateur golfers from across the country and East African region.
They will compete for a prize purse of Sh600,000, with the overall winner taking home Sh130,000.
After two rounds, the top 33 players, including ties, will advance to the final round on Sunday.
Notable players include Elvis Muigua from Kiambu Golf Club, William Odek from Nyali Golf and Country Club, Josephat Rono from Golf Park Golf Club, and Rwanda’s Felix Dusabe.
Dusabe recently won the NCBA Mt. Kenya Championship at Nyeri Golf Club.
Kenya Golf Union Chairman David Ndungu expressed excitement ahead of the tournament.
“We are thrilled to return to Nyanza Golf and Country Club. Our thanks go to the club’s management for their great organization and to our sponsors, led by NCBA, for their continued support of our golfers,” he said.
